Verscheyde schoone en vermaakelyke gezigten in de hofstede van Clingendaal gelegen by 's Gravenhage : naa t'leven getekent en in t'kooper gebrugt
A suite of engraved garden views of the Clingendael estate near The Hague, drawn from life by Daniel Stopendael and Laurens Scherm and published by Nicolaes Visscher in Amsterdam in 1679 for buyers of topographical estate prints. The plates are line engravings built on single-point perspective, with tall clipped hedge walls rendered in dense stipple and hatching, balustraded terraces, shell-encrusted grotto arches, long allées and small figures in 1670s dress, coaches and dogs; designers can lift the hedge textures, the receding avenue frames and the isolated figure groups.
