A German antiquarian treatise on the dress, customs and weapons of ancient peoples up to Constantine, written and self-published in Munich in 1802 by court painter Johann Christian von Mannlich, partly as reference for stage costume. The plates are outline engravings without shading: rows of draped standing figures, processions, armed men and seated women, numbered for keyed identification.
