Vetrvvio con il svo comento et figvre
Giovanni Battista Caporali's Italian translation and commentary on the first five books of Vitruvius, printed at Perugia in 1536 for architects, masons and patrons. Woodcuts pair lettered ground plans with temple elevations and show column bases, capitals and cornice mouldings gridded with measuring scales — usable as diagram frameworks, classical ornament profiles and keyed technical line work.
