Villa Borghese fuori di Porta Pinciana
A 1650 Roman guide to the Villa Borghese and its grounds, written by Giacomo Manilli, printed by Lodovico Grignani with etched plates by Dominique Barrière, for visitors and patrons of the Borghese family. The plates give fine-line etchings of the villa facade with its sculpture-studded walls, balustraded terraces, clipped trees and small strolling figures, alongside woodcut initials filled with laurel leaves.
