Visitation of England and Wales
A privately printed genealogical and heraldic record compiled by Joseph Jackson Howard and Frederick Arthur Crisp in London in 1893, documenting armorial bearings of English and Welsh families for subscribers and antiquaries. Line-engraved achievements show shields with quartered charges, lions, eagles, fish and fleurs-de-lis, crested helms with mantling, and ribbon scrolls carrying Latin mottoes, all usable as crests, badges and banner shapes.
