The visitation of the county of Cornwall, in the year 1620
A printed edition of the 1620 heraldic visitation of Cornwall, taken by the heralds Henry St George and Samson Lennard, edited by J. L. Vivian and H. H. Drake and published in London in 1874 for genealogists, antiquaries and county historians. The plates are line facsimiles of seventeenth-century gentry signatures, grouped several to a page, showing looped secretary-hand capitals, long underscores and trailing paraphs that a designer can use as ready-made script lettering and calligraphic flourish specimens.
