Visitation of England and Wales
A privately printed English genealogical and heraldic reference compiled by Joseph Jackson Howard and Frederick Arthur Crisp, issued in London from 1893 for subscribing families recording their pedigrees and arms. The plates are line-engraved achievements of arms: shields with charges such as griffins' heads, crescents, scallops and chevrons, crests of rearing horses, stags and hooded heads, lion and bull supporters, coronets, and ribbon scrolls carrying Latin mottoes.
