Visitation of England and Wales
A privately printed heraldic reference compiled by Joseph Jackson Howard and Frederick Arthur Crisp in London in 1893, recording pedigrees and arms of British families for genealogists and the College of Arms. The plates are line-engraved achievements: shields quartered with lions, stars, crosses and roundels, beast and griffin crests on torses, and ribbon scrolls carrying Latin mottoes in spaced capitals.
