Visitation of England and Wales
A privately printed English genealogical series compiled by Joseph Jackson Howard and Frederick Arthur Crisp in London from 1893, recording pedigrees and arms of gentry families for subscribers and antiquarians. Engraved and line-block plates show shields, quartered coats, crests, rococo cartouche frames, foliate mantling and circular bookplate borders with motto ribbons — sources for ornament, badge shapes and lettered banderoles.
