A visit to the domed churches of Charente, France, by the Architectural Association of London, in the year 1875 : published as a memorial to Edmund Sharpe : with an historical and descriptive text, illustrated by sixty photo-lithographed plates
An architectural survey of the domed Romanesque churches of the Charente region, recorded by members of London's Architectural Association on an 1875 tour and issued in 1880 as a memorial to Edmund Sharpe, for architects and antiquarians. Sixty photo-lithographed plates give measured elevations, plans and close studies of carved capitals, corbel friezes and arch voussoirs in firm outline with fine hatched shading.
