Vite de' pittori, scultori, ed architetti napoletani : non mai date alla luce da Autore alcuno
Bernardo De Dominici's biographies of Neapolitan painters, sculptors and architects, printed in Naples by the Ricciardi press in 1742 for local scholars, collectors and artists. The plates here are letterpress ornament: boxed woodcut initials filled with acanthus and berries, and small headpiece and tailpiece blocks with foliage, flowers and a crowned female head, usable as drop caps, dividers and spot ornament.
