M.L. Vitrvuio Pollione De architectura
An Italian vernacular edition of Vitruvius's ten books on architecture, translated by Francesco Lucio Durantino and printed in Venice in 1524 by the brothers da Sabio for builders, patrons and scholars. Woodcut diagrams show temple plans with dotted column grids, perspective constructions, hoisting and water machines, and column orders, offering hard-edged line figures and lettered keys that suit technical or schematic layouts.
