Volharding 1905
Exhibition album issued in 1905 by the Antwerp artists' society Volharding, reproducing paintings by its Belgian members for society patrons and visitors. The plates are soft-grained halftones of Campine landscapes — sandy heath with scattered pines, rutted cart roads under heavy trees, thatched farmsteads and a distant windmill — usable as tonal backgrounds, tree silhouettes and horizon studies.
