A German festival book of 1742, printed in Frankfurt am Main by Johann David Jung, recording the election and coronation of Emperor Charles VII with documents, portraits and engravings by Lentzner, Finck, Leclerc and Reinhardt for court and civic readers. The plates mix baroque woodcut headpieces of acanthus scrollwork, cartouches and allegorical figures with engraved procession and banquet scenes, giving designers ready ornament bands, crowned armorial devices and crowd-filled ceremonial views.
