Voyage d'Italie, de Dalmatie, de Grece, et du Levant : fait aux années 1675. & 1676.
Jacob Spon and George Wheler's account of their 1675–76 travels through Italy, Dalmatia, Greece and the Levant, printed in Amsterdam by Henry and Theodore Boom in 1679 for antiquarian and scholarly readers. The copperplate engravings record standing monuments and their carved Greek inscriptions in fine parallel line work—fluted shafts, Corinthian capitals, scaled domes, stepped plinths—usable as isolated architectural elements, lettering samples and hatching patterns.
