Herbert Hall Turner's printed version of six Christmas 1913 lectures on astronomy for young listeners at the Royal Institution, published in London by the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge in 1915. Halftone telescope photographs and diagrams give white-on-black solar limbs, star fields, comet tails and a mottled planetary disc — usable as coarse-grained astronomical plates and simple circular forms.
