A French guidebook to the paintings, sculpture and architecture of Paris, written by Antoine-Nicolas Dézallier d'Argenville and printed by the Frères de Bure in 1778 for travellers and art amateurs. The plates here are small letterpress woodcut ornaments " flower baskets, urns, acanthus scrollwork, a perched bird on a plinth " usable as headpieces, tailpieces and small decorative marks.
