Voyagie door Italien, Dalmatien, Grieckenland, en de Levant. Gedaan in de jaren 1675 en 1676
A Dutch edition of Jacob Spon and George Wheler's account of their 1675–76 journey through Italy, Dalmatia, Greece and the Levant, published by Jan ten Hoorn in Amsterdam in 1689 for readers interested in classical antiquities and Greek inscriptions. Copperplate views name each site — Athens, Delphi, Ephesus — showing broken columns, arches and hillside towns with small figures, horses and surveyors measuring stones, alongside woodcut headpieces of flower-filled urns with scrollwork; usable as ruin vignettes, landscape backgrounds and typographic ornaments.
