Västergötland. Àv Ernst Fischer
A 1922 Swedish survey of church art and decoration in the province of Västergötland, written by Ernst Fischer and published in Stockholm by G. Tisell for antiquarians and church historians. The plates are photographs of painted wooden interiors: gallery panels with oval scenes framed by acanthus scrollwork, trumpeting angels holding banderoles, sunburst and flaming-heart emblems, carved pulpits and painted ceilings, all with blackletter Swedish inscriptions in cartouches usable as frames, scroll borders and folk-baroque ornament.
