Wall paper, its origin, development and manufacture
A trade and history handbook on wallpaper by George Whiteley Ward, published by Pitman in London and New York in 1922 for manufacturers, decorators and students of the paper-staining industry. Halftone plates reproduce printed papers and borders: dense allover floral repeats, trellis and lattice grounds, jar-and-vase frieze bands, and a room corner showing a flowered vertical panel, all useful as repeat patterns, border strips and tonal ground textures.
