Water-powers of Canada
A 1911 survey of Canadian water-power sites issued in Ottawa by the Commission of Conservation, compiled by engineers Leo G. Denis and Arthur V. White for government officials and industrial developers. Halftone photographs show waterfalls, river gorges, dams, penstocks and powerhouses in sparse conifer landscapes, with printed captions along the plate edges useful as grainy monochrome scenery and early industrial reference.
