Charles Lindbergh's memoir of his 1927 New York–Paris flight, written with an appended account by Fitzhugh Green and issued the same year by G.P. Putnam's Sons in New York for a mass American readership. The plates are grainy halftone press photographs credited to Wide World Photos: Lindbergh in dark suits among officials, massed hatted crowds at outdoor ceremonies, bunting and flag-draped platforms, and the Spirit of St. Louis on the ground — useful for coarse-screen dot texture and 1920s crowd and aviation silhouettes.
