Weaving machinery for cotton, silk, woolen, worsted and special fabrics
A 1918 trade catalogue from the Crompton & Knowles Loom Works in Worcester, Massachusetts, issued to mill owners and buyers of power looms for cotton, silk, woolen and worsted weaving. The plates are retouched halftone photographs of single machines on plain grey backgrounds, each shown at a three-quarter angle so that flywheels, gear trains, cam boxes, cloth rollers and treadles read as distinct parts; useful for cutout machine silhouettes, mechanical detail, and studies of industrial gearing.
