[Weaving pattern book

Böschor, Heinrich · 1819 · n.p. · 16 pictures

A handwritten weaving pattern book compiled by Heinrich Böschor in 1819, unpublished and kept as a working reference for setting up a loom. The pages are ruled grids filled with inked dots, dashes and filled squares that plot threadings and tie-ups, some rising into stepped pyramid shapes, with ink blots, foxing and numbered headings; useful as ready-made modular dot patterns, grid textures and stepped motifs.
