Wedgwood and his imitators
A collector's handbook on Wedgwood pottery and the wares made in imitation of it, written by the American antiques writer N. Hudson Moore and published in New York by Frederick A. Stokes in 1909 for collectors and dealers. Halftone photographs show jasper and basalt vases, urns and plaques against plain grounds, with relief figure friezes, acanthus and leaf borders, scrolled handles and stepped plinths that supply crisp neoclassical ornament and silhouettes.
