Wehman Bros.' new book of one hundred and fifty parlor tricks and games : home-made apparatus

Wehman Bros, Harry Houdini Collection (Library of Congress) DLC · 1905 · New York : Wehman Bros. · 97 pictures

A cheap instructional manual of parlor tricks and games published by Wehman Bros. in New York in 1905, written for amateur conjurors performing at home with improvised apparatus, and preserved in the Library of Congress Houdini Collection. The wood-engraved and line figures show cuffed hands manipulating thread, coins and cards, rigged matchboxes and candle gimmicks, and a stage scene of a performer before a seated audience, giving designers isolated gesturing hands and small household props on plain grounds.
