Illustrations of dissections in a series of original coloured plates, the size of life, representing the dissection of the human body / by George Viner Ellis and G. H. Ford.
A life-size anatomical atlas of human dissections drawn from cadavers by George Viner Ellis and lithographer George Henry Ford, published in London by Smith, Elder & Co. in 1876 for medical students and surgeons, in a copy held by the Institute of Orthopaedics library at University College London. The digitised page here is the library's pen-and-ink ownership plate: hand-lettered display capitals set among outlined trees, flying birds and a tuft of plants, framed by a braided leaf border that can be lifted as a decorative rule or label surround.
