Outlines of medico-chirurgical science ; containing remarks on medical education, and illustrations of the application of anatomy, physiology, and pathology, to the principal practical points of medicine and surgery. With coloured plates / [by] Thomas Turner.
A medical textbook by Thomas Turner, printed in London and Manchester in 1827 for students entering medicine and surgery, with hand-coloured plates engraved by T. Fielding. The plates are schematic sectional diagrams — abdomen, thorax, skull, fetal membranes — outlined in fine brown line with flat ochre, pink and red washes and letter keys, useful for diagrammatic anatomy and muted two-colour overlays.
