B. Bradshaw's Dictionary of mineral waters, climatic health resorts, sea baths, and hydropathic establishments : giving the summer and winter residences of doctors, hotels which can be recommended with confidence, and other useful information : with a map printed in 11 colours, showing the stations named, and an itinerary of the quickest and cheapest routes by rail, boats, carriages, etc., and seven smaller maps and plans.
A traveller's gazetteer of European spas, sea baths and hydropathic establishments compiled by B. Bradshaw and issued in London by Trübner & Co. in 1884, aimed at British invalids and their doctors planning continental cures. The plates are line-engraved maps and route diagrams on tinted paper — simplified railway networks, coastal town plans with hatched relief, and inset vignettes of casinos, opera houses and piers — useful for map textures, schematic route lines and boxed label lettering.
