Warne's model cookery and housekeeping book : containing complete instructions in household management / compiled and edited by Mary Jewry.
A Victorian household manual compiled and edited by Mary Jewry, published in London by Frederick Warne about 1871 for middle-class housekeepers and cooks. The wood-engraved figures show joints of meat, poultry and fish drawn as solid shaded volumes with lettered carving lines (A, B, C, D) marking where to cut, useful as diagram-style butchery cuts, arrow-free instructional lettering, and small hatched vignettes.
