Magna Charta, the Bill of Rights : with the Petition of Right, presented to Charles I ... together with His Majesty's answer ; and the coronation oath.
A cheap London reprint of England's founding constitutional documents — Magna Carta, the Bill of Rights, the Petition of Right with Charles I's answer, and the coronation oath — issued by the popular publisher J. Bailey around 1810 for ordinary readers and reformers. The single hand-coloured frontispiece piles up royal regalia in an octagonal frame: crown, mitre, sword, mace and sceptre over open books lettered with the documents' titles, usable as a heraldic emblem group, a lettered-banner device, or a model for flat hand-tinting over woodcut line.
