Anatomical description of the arteries of the human body : illustrated by several coloured engravings, selected and reduced from the Icones of Haller, exhibiting the parts as they appear on dissection : principally designed for the use of students.

Albrecht von Haller, Glasgow University Library · 1811 · London, 1811. · 1 picture

An English anatomy manual of 1811, published in London for medical students, with coloured engravings reduced from Albrecht von Haller's Icones anatomicae. The plates show arterial trees in bright vermilion against pale washed muscle, bone and viscera, with thin leader lines running to letter keys — useful for branching line networks, faded tinted grounds and annotated diagram layouts.
