Percivall, William, 1792-1854., Glasgow University Library · 1849 · London : Longman, Brown, Green, and Longmans, 1849. · 2 pictures

A veterinary treatise on equine lameness by William Percivall, a London army veterinary surgeon, published by Longman in 1849 for horse practitioners and owners. Eighteen tinted and coloured lithographic plates show diseased horse bones and joints in isolation on blank grounds: knobbed and eroded bone shafts, sawn sections, ringbone and navicular growths, and one dissection washed in pale yellow and pink, with figure letters and captions useful as specimen studies or textured organic forms.
