An English-language anatomy and surgery manual by Jean Riolan the Younger, translated by Nicholas Culpeper and William Rand and printed by Peter Cole in London in 1657 for practising physicians, surgeons and apprentices. Plates stack several dissected figures per page: seated flayed torsos with opened chests, rib cages, hearts and lungs, brain and viscera sections, thin-lined and usable as cut-out silhouettes.
