A 1743 Paris trade manual issued by the engraver-publisher Guélard, surveying the principal arts and crafts and the instruments each one uses, aimed at artisans, builders and curious general readers. The 91 copperplate engravings alternate between keyed workshop interiors drawn in receding perspective and flat sheets of hand tools ranged in rows, giving designers clean tool silhouettes, lettered diagram keys and shop-bench arrangements to reuse.
