Effigies penis humani, injectâ cerâ praeparati exhibens inventa anatomica aliquot nova / et proprio colore typis impressa à Joanne Ladmiral.
A short Latin anatomical monograph printed at Leiden in 1741, in which Jan l'Admiral used his own colour-printed mezzotint process to record a wax-injected human penis for anatomists and fellow printmakers. The plates pair a dark, dissected specimen rendered in printed reds and greys with a line vignette of a skeleton and a winged putto facing a radiant sun over preparation jars, offering blood-vessel networks, dense engraved ray bursts, and dissection pins with lettered keys.
