A German medical treatise on ulcers by the surgeon Johann Nepomuk Rust, revised and published in Berlin in 1844 for physicians and surgical students. Numbered hand-coloured lithographic plates show cropped limbs — feet, calves, forearms — bearing open sores in pink, brown and green washes, with one cross-section; useful for isolated body fragments, wound textures, and pale flesh-tone palettes.
