A costume plate book of Ottoman dress drawn by Octavien Dalvimart and engraved under William Alexander, issued in London in 1802 with paired English and French descriptions for British collectors and armchair travellers. Sixty-two hand-coloured figures stand alone on blank grounds, showing turbans, tall felt caps, fur-lined robes, sashes and slippers in flat greens, reds and blues — ready-cut silhouettes and a usable colour palette.
