Happy days / presented by the makers of Carter's Little Liver Pills.
An advertising giveaway booklet issued in 1882 by the Carter Medicine Co. of New York and printed by the lithographers Liebler & Maass, handed out to households to promote Carter's Little Liver Pills. The pictures are small pen-drawn vignettes on tinted paper: a hollow tree trunk, a sunburst over water lilies, a child walking past garden plants, a freckled face in close-up, plus decorated initials and twig-letter alphabets useful as spot art, drop caps, and page borders.
