A short French trade prospectus issued about 1840 in Paris by Duval le jeune, showing his portable apparatus for steam baths and showers to physicians, bath-house keepers and private buyers. Two hand-coloured plates lay out numbered copper boilers on louvred stands, curving hose arms, valves, braided flexible tubing and tapered nozzles against bare paper, giving designers isolated apparatus silhouettes and a soft copper-and-cream palette.
