Wenzel Friedrich, manufacturer of horn furniture.
A trade catalogue issued in 1890 by San Antonio cabinetmaker Wenzel Friedrich and printed by J. Routledge, showing the Texas longhorn furniture he sold to dealers and wealthy buyers. The wood-engraved plates present single chairs, settees and tables built from curving horns, with upholstered seats rendered in dense stippling and hatching, fringes, tassels and hide textures, each object isolated on a plain ground with a small cast shadow.
