When mother lets us give a party; a book that tells little folk how best to entertain and amuse their little friends
A 1909 children's party-planning handbook by Elsie Duncan Yale, published in New York by Moffat, Yard and Company for young hosts and the mothers supervising them. Pen-and-ink line drawings, some in circular vignettes, show girls and boys sewing, dancing in colonial costume, and crowding a doorway, offering period children's dress, simple contour outlines with flat black stockings and hair, and roundel framing devices.
