William Callow, R. W. S., F. R. G. S.
The autobiography of English watercolourist William Callow, edited by H. M. Cundall and issued by A. and C. Black in London in 1908 as one of their colour-plate art volumes for collectors and amateur painters. Forty-five tipped-in plates reproduce Callow's watercolours of Continental towns, Gothic church fronts, Venetian canals and market squares, offering pale washed skies, warm stone tones and small figure groups for scale.
