The witchcraft delusion in New England; its rise, progress, and termination, as exhibited by Dr. Cotton Mather in The wonders of the invisible world, and by Mr. Robert Calef in his More wonders of the invisible world
A three-volume documentary edition compiled by antiquarian Samuel Gardner Drake, reprinting Cotton Mather's and Robert Calef's 1690s tracts on the Salem trials, issued in 1866 by W. Elliot Woodward of Roxbury, Massachusetts for collectors of early American source texts. The illustrations are decorative letterpress ornaments: foliate initials with perched birds and berried vines, hatched scrollwork, and small vignettes of lyres, horns and scattered sheet music.
