Witch Hill : a history of Salem witchcraft, including illustrative sketches of persons and places
A popular history of the 1692 Salem witch trials written by Methodist author Zachariah Atwell Mudge and issued in 1870 by Carlton & Lanahan for American general readers and Sunday-school libraries. The scanned pages yield a repeated horizontal headpiece: a symmetrical strapwork band with Greek-key fill, flanking daisy rosettes, curling acanthus tips and a small oval medallion holding a child's head in profile, printed in fine black line on tinted paper and usable as a chapter rule, divider or frame element.
