Woodland elf

Evans, Florence Adèle · 1906 · New York ; Akron, O. ; Chicago : Saalfield Publishing Company · 9 pictures

A 1906 children's story by Florence Adèle Evans about an elf, animals and magical travels, issued by the Saalfield Publishing Company of New York, Akron and Chicago for young readers. The plates here are small line-cut advertisement reproductions of Saalfield book covers — goats, kids, a clown and a mountain scene inside ruled frames with hand-lettered titles — useful for miniature cover mock-ups, lettering models and decorative borders.
