The world machine. The first phase: the cosmic mechanism
A popular account of cosmology and celestial mechanics written by the American science journalist Carl Snyder and published by Longmans, Green in London and New York in 1907 for general readers. The figures are line diagrams of circles, globes and sighting lines to labelled points, with lettered vertices, hatched earths and a small rayed sun — useful as spare geometric schematics.
