A numismatic portrait book by Levinus Hulsius, printed at Frankfurt am Main in 1597 for antiquaries and coin collectors, pairing engraved coin effigies of the twelve Caesars and sixty-four of their wives and parents with Latin lives. Each plate sets a profile medallion in a strapwork cartouche with herms, garlands, masks and urns above a framed inscription panel—ready-made frames, labels and coin roundels.
