Zederyke zinnebeelden in hondert kunstplaten vertoont
A Dutch emblem book of 1717, printed in Amsterdam by H. Bosch, pairing a hundred engraved emblem plates with Latin mottoes and Dutch moral commentary for devotional readers. The pictures are small circular scenes cut in fine line and cross-hatching — rising suns with rayed faces, storm-struck ships, cliffs, ruined columns, birds in flight — each ringed by its motto in capitals, and one framed by a rococo cartouche of swags; useful for roundel devices, motto banding, and compact landscape vignettes.
