Leerzaame zinnebeelden
A Dutch emblem book of moral verse by Adriaan Spinniker, printed at Haarlem in 1757 by Jan Bosch, with plates after designs by the Haarlem painter Vincent Laurensz van der Vinne, aimed at readers seeking religious and moral instruction. The etchings pair domestic and trade interiors with open landscapes, drawn in fine parallel hatching that carries weather, foliage and shadow; useful for eighteenth-century costume, small figure groups, horses and stable gear, and rain-streaked skies.
